Florence Berthout is a French politician who has served as the Mayor of the 5th arrondissement of Paris since 2014. A graduate of the Bordeaux Institute of Political Studies and the Lille Regional Institute of Administration, she began her career in public administration before serving as a parliamentary advisor to figures such as Roger Romani and Dominique de Villepin. Throughout her political career, she has been a member of the Paris Council and the Île-de-France Regional Council. Initially associated with the Les Républicains party, she later moved toward the presidential majority, currently sitting as an independent and progressive representative. She is also recognized for her extensive involvement in cultural administration, having directed the Parc de la Villette and the Regional Contemporary Art Fund of Île-de-France.
