Florian Kling is a German politician and military officer who has served as the Mayor of Calw since 2019. Before entering local politics, he served as a soldier in the Bundeswehr, where he attained the rank of Captain in the reserve and held various roles, including company commander and press officer. He also worked as an IT consultant for public administration digitalization. Although a member of the Social Democratic Party, he successfully ran for his current mayoral office as an independent candidate.
