Florian Maier

Florian Maier is a German politician and educator serving as a member of the Landtag of Rhineland-Palatinate. Born in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, he pursued a career in education, working as a teacher at the Pfalzinstitut für Hören und Kommunikation in Frankenthal before entering state politics. A member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) since 2005, he has held various local government roles, including serving as a city councilor in Landau and as the local district head (Ortsvorsteher) of Dammheim. In the Landtag, he represents the constituency of Landau in the Pfalz and acts as the education and viticulture policy spokesperson for the SPD parliamentary group.
