Mechthilde Wittmann

Mechthilde Wittmann is a German lawyer and politician who has served as a member of the Bundestag since 2021, representing the Oberallgäu district. A member of the Christian Social Union in Bavaria (CSU) since 1983, she previously served in the State Parliament of Bavaria from 2013 to 2018, where she focused on legal affairs. In the Bundestag, she is active on the Committee on Internal Affairs and the Committee on Tourism, and she serves as a representative on the Europol Joint Parliamentary Scrutiny Group. Beyond her legislative duties, she holds board positions at the Institute for Federal Real Estate and Kempten University of Applied Sciences.
