Prior to his entry into politics, he served for over a decade in the Singapore Civil Service, holding positions in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Transport. He currently serves as the Vice President of Port Ecosystem Development at PSA.
