Lawrence Wong is a Singaporean politician serving as the fourth Prime Minister of Singapore since 2024. A member of the People's Action Party, he has represented the Limbang division of Marsiling–Yew Tee GRC as a Member of Parliament since 2015. Previously, he held various ministerial portfolios, including Minister for Finance and Minister for Education, and gained national prominence for co-chairing the multi-ministerial committee that managed Singapore's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in the civil service, working at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Finance, and as the principal private secretary to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
