François Ndong Obiang

François Ndong Obiang is a Gabonese politician currently serving as the Minister of Reform and Relations with Institutions in the first government of the Fifth Republic, a position he has held since May 2025. A law graduate from the University of Pau and the Pays de l'Adour in France, he previously held various administrative roles, including legal advisor at the Ministry of Health and the Prime Minister's office, and led the National Agency for Artistic and Cultural Promotion. Formerly a prominent opposition figure and leader of the Alternance 2023 coalition, he also served as the first vice-president of the National Assembly of the transition. He was previously the president of the political party Réagir, though he was excluded from the party in 2024 following internal conflicts.
