Laurence Ndong is a Gabonese politician, researcher, and Pentecostal pastor currently serving as the Minister of the Civil Service and Strengthening of Capacities. Born in Douala, Cameroon, she spent over two decades in France, where she earned a doctorate in science didactics and worked as an academic. After returning to Gabon, she became a prominent opposition figure against the Bongo regime, notably serving as spokesperson for Jean Ping in 2016. Following the 2023 coup d'état, she joined the transitional government, initially overseeing communications and media before assuming her current ministerial role in 2026.
