François-Noël Buffet

François-Noël Buffet is a French politician and lawyer who currently serves as a member of the French Senate representing the Rhône department. Throughout his career, he has held various local and national positions, including serving as the mayor of Oullins from 1997 to 2017 and as the president of the Senate's Law Commission. He has also held ministerial roles, serving as Minister Delegate for Overseas Territories in 2024. A member of The Republicans, he is known for his conservative stances on social issues, including his opposition to same-sex marriage and the constitutionalization of abortion.
