Francesco Giacobbe

Francesco Giacobbe is an Italian politician currently serving as a member of the Senate of the Republic. Born in Catania, Italy, in 1958, he emigrated to Australia in 1982, where he pursued an academic career in economics and accounting at the University of Sydney. He was first elected to the Italian Senate in 2013 representing the foreign constituency and has been re-elected in subsequent terms, including in 2022. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has been affiliated with the Democratic Party and has participated in key legislative debates, including those concerning constitutional reforms.
