Francia Elena Márquez Mina is a Colombian politician and human rights activist serving as the 13th Vice President of Colombia since 2022. She is the first Afro-Colombian vice president in the country's history. A prominent environmental and community organizer known for her activism against illegal mining and dam construction in Cauca, she was awarded the Goldman Environmental Prize in 2018. In 2022, she joined Gustavo Petro on the Historic Pact for Colombia ticket and later briefly served concurrently as the Minister of Equality and Equity.
