Francisco César is a Portuguese politician and economist currently serving as a member of the Assembly of the Republic and as the leader of the Socialist Party in the Azores. He previously served as a deputy in the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores from 2008 to 2022. An economist by training, he has held various leadership roles within the Socialist Party and has been active in municipal politics in Ponta Delgada. He is the son of Carlos César, a prominent figure in Portuguese politics and former president of the Regional Government of the Azores.
