Francisco Chíguil Figueroa is a Mexican politician, economist, and chemical engineer currently serving as a Senator of the Republic. A member of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), he previously served as the mayor of the Gustavo A. Madero borough in Mexico City for two consecutive terms and held seats in the Legislative Assembly of the Federal District. Throughout his career, he has balanced political office with a long-standing academic career as a professor and researcher in economics at the Metropolitan Autonomous University.
