Francisco Huenchumilla

Francisco Huenchumilla is a Chilean politician and lawyer of Mapuche descent who serves as a Senator representing the Araucanía Region. A member of the Christian Democratic Party, his extensive political career includes serving as a deputy, mayor of Temuco, undersecretary of the Navy, minister Secretary-General of the Presidency, and intendant of the Araucanía Region. Throughout his career, he has been heavily involved in indigenous rights and regional development issues.
