Franco Ianeselli

Franco Ianeselli is an Italian politician and former trade unionist who has served as the Mayor of Trento since 2020. Born in Trento in 1978, he holds a degree in sociology from the University of Trento. Before entering politics, he had a significant career within the CGIL trade union, eventually serving as its provincial secretary from 2015 to 2020. He was first elected mayor in 2020 as an independent supported by a center-left coalition and was re-elected in 2025. In May 2026, he officially joined the Democratic Party.
