Frank Scheermesser

Frank Scheermesser is a German politician and a member of the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin. Born in 1958 in Königstein, he studied mechanical engineering before working as an independent real estate agent in Berlin. Scheermesser has a long political history, having been a member of the East CDU and later the FDP before joining the Alternative for Germany (AfD) in 2013. He served in the Berlin House of Representatives from 2016 to 2021 and returned to the legislature in March 2025. His political focus has centered on public security, including advocating for increased police presence and video surveillance in high-crime areas.
