Franziska Hoppermann

Franziska Hoppermann is a German politician and civil servant who has served as a member of the Bundestag for the Hamburg-Wandsbek constituency since 2021. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), she has held various parliamentary responsibilities, including serving on the Committee on Digital Affairs and the Budget Committee. In 2025, she became the chair of a parliamentary inquiry investigating policy decisions made during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to her national parliamentary career, she was involved in Hamburg state politics, notably serving in the shadow cabinet of Marcus Weinberg. She is recognized for her focus on digital transformation, government modernization, and administrative reform.
