Franziska Ryser is a Swiss politician and mechanical engineer who has served as a member of the National Council of Switzerland since 2019, representing the Canton of St. Gallen. Born in 1991, she studied mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich and previously worked in the machine manufacturing industry and at the Rehabilitation Engineering Lab. Ryser began her political career in the local parliament of St. Gallen in 2013, eventually serving as its chairman. She is a prominent member of the Green Party, having served as a vice-president of the party and co-president of the Green Party for St. Gallen.
