Before his election to the Diet in 2026, he pursued an academic career, serving as an associate professor at Nagaoka Institute of Design and later at Showa Women's University, where he specialized in environmental design. In the 51st House of Representatives general election held in February 2026, he ran as a Liberal Democratic Party candidate for the Aichi 11th district. Although he was defeated in the constituency race, he secured a seat through the proportional representation system for the Tokai block.
