Gérard Larcher

Gérard Larcher is a French politician currently serving as the President of the French Senate, a position he has held since 2014, having previously served in the role from 2008 to 2011. A member of the conservative party The Republicans, he has represented the Yvelines department as a senator since 1986. Throughout his long career, he served as Minister Delegate for Employment, Labour and Professional Integration under Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin and was the long-time Mayor of Rambouillet from 1983 to 2014.
