Gabriel Obernosterer

Gabriel Obernosterer is an Austrian politician and hotelier who has served as a member of the National Council since 2006. A member of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), he previously held various roles within the Carinthian Economic Chamber and served as the provincial party leader of the ÖVP Carinthia from 2012 to 2014. Before entering politics, he was a professional natural track luger and a trained automotive mechanic. In 2017, he was awarded the Grand Gold Decoration for Services to the Republic of Austria.
