Gabriel Sanchez

Gabriel Sanchez is an American politician serving as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives for the 42nd district since 2024. A self-described democratic socialist and the son of Colombian immigrants, he previously worked as a legislative aide and as an organizer for the Stop Cop City movement. Sanchez advocates for progressive policies including universal healthcare, a $20 minimum wage, reproductive rights, and criminal justice reform. He is noted for being the first democratic socialist legislator in Georgia.
