Gary Gates

Gary Gates is an American businessman and politician serving as a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 28. First elected in a 2020 special runoff election, he represents parts of Fort Bend County in the Houston metropolitan area. Prior to his legislative career, Gates established himself as a businessman. He is known for his conservative political stance, including his support for restricting committee chairmanships to members of the majority party. He resides in Richmond, Texas, with his wife and their 13 children.
