Gary Hicks is an American politician serving as a Republican member of the Tennessee House of Representatives for the 9th district. First appointed to the legislature in 2015, he has since maintained his seat and currently serves as the chair of the House Finance, Ways and Means Subcommittee. Before entering politics, Hicks worked as a network administrator for Rural Health Services and as a technology director. In 2023, he gained national attention for supporting a resolution to expel Democratic lawmakers from the legislature for violating decorum rules during a gun reform protest.
