Gaurav Gogoi is an Indian politician serving as a Member of Parliament for the Jorhat Lok Sabha constituency and as the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. The son of former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, he entered politics after working in the marketing sector and for a Delhi-based NGO. Since his election to the Lok Sabha in 2014, he has become a prominent voice for the Indian National Congress, notably leading the no-confidence motion against the government in 2023 regarding the Manipur violence. In 2025, he was appointed President of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee.
