Geeta Shakya

Geeta Shakya is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, representing the state of Uttar Pradesh. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, she has established herself as a prominent leader among the Other Backward Classes. Her political career began in 2000 as a Gram Pradhan, followed by service as the district president of Auraiya. Since July 2021, she has also served as the State President of the BJP's Women Wing. Before entering full-time politics, she worked as a teacher and school principal.
