Geoffrey Filkin, Baron Filkin

Geoffrey Filkin, Baron Filkin, is a British Labour politician and life peer who has served in the House of Lords since 1999. Educated at Cambridge, he previously held senior roles in local government and served as a government minister between 2001 and 2005, including positions in the Home Office and the Department for Education and Skills. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has focused on public service reform, demographic change, and ageing policy, notably chairing the Lords Select Committee on Public Services and Demographic Change.
