Representing the Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency in Lagos State under the Labour Party, he won the February 2023 general election and assumed office in June 2023. He comes from a political and artistic family, being the son of renowned musician King Sunny Adé and the late former Lagos State House of Assembly member Risikat Ajoke Adegeye.
