Gerhard Koornhof

Gerhardus Willem Koornhof is a South African politician and economist who has served as a Member of the National Assembly since 1994. Currently acting as the Parliamentary Counsellor to President Cyril Ramaphosa, Koornhof has held various legislative roles throughout his career. He began his political journey with the National Party, later representing the United Democratic Movement before joining the African National Congress in 2003. He is recognized for his extensive academic background in commerce and his long-standing involvement in South African parliamentary affairs.
