Gian Antonio Girelli

Gian Antonio Girelli is an Italian politician currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2022. Before his national election, he had a long career in regional and local politics, serving as a member of the Regional Council of Lombardy from 2010 to 2022 and as the mayor of Barghe from 1993 to 2006. Throughout his tenure, he has focused on social affairs and public health, notably chairing the regional commission of inquiry into the COVID-19 pandemic. Girelli is a member of the Democratic Party and has advocated for legislative initiatives regarding gender inclusivity and social equality.
