Giandomenico Albertella

Giandomenico Albertella is an Italian politician and architect who has served as the Mayor of Verbania since June 2024. A graduate in architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan, he has a long-standing career in local government, having previously served as the mayor of Cannobio for two separate periods between 1985 and 1988, and again from 2009 to 2019. He also served as a councilor for the province of Novara from 1985 to 1995. After an unsuccessful bid for the mayoralty of Verbania in 2019, he successfully ran as a center-right civic candidate in 2024, winning the election at the runoff stage.
