Giorgi Sosiashvili is a Georgian historian, academic, and politician currently serving as a Member of the Parliament of Georgia. Born in Dizi, Gori Municipality, he holds a doctorate in history and has had a distinguished academic career, notably serving as the Rector of Gori State University from 2010 to 2023. A member of the Georgian Dream party, he was first elected to parliament in 2023 and re-elected in 2024. He currently serves as the Deputy Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee and is an Academician of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences.
