Tengiz Sharmanashvili

Tengiz Sharmanashvili is a Georgian politician who has served as a Member of the Parliament of Georgia since 2020. Representing the ruling Georgian Dream—Democratic Georgia party, he was elected through the party's proportional representation list. Within the parliament, he holds the position of First Deputy Chair of the Defense and Security Committee. Sharmanashvili has been an active legislator, notably co-authoring significant national legislation, including the 2025 measure to annul the temporary administrative-territorial unit on the territory of the former South Ossetia Autonomous Region.
