
Sozar Subari

Sozar Subari is a Georgian politician, journalist, and former human rights activist currently serving as a Member of the Parliament of Georgia. He previously held several high-level government positions, including Minister for IDPs, Accommodation and Refugees from 2014 to 2018, Minister of Corrections and Legal Assistance from 2012 to 2014, and Public Defender (Ombudsman) of Georgia from 2004 to 2009. A former critic of the Saakashvili government, Subari later joined the Georgian Dream party before co-founding the sovereignist People's Power movement in 2022. His career has spanned journalism, theology, and active participation in the armed conflict in Abkhazia.
