Giorgio Napolitano

Giorgio Napolitano was an Italian politician who served as the 11th President of the Italian Republic from 2006 to 2015. A prominent figure in the Italian Communist Party, he was a long-serving member of the Chamber of Deputies and later became the first President in Italian history to be elected for a second term. Throughout his career, he was known for his reformist views and his efforts to bridge the gap between the Italian left and European social democracy. He passed away in 2023 after a distinguished career in public service.
