Roberto Speranza

Roberto Speranza is an Italian politician currently serving as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies. He previously held the position of Minister of Health from 2019 to 2022, serving in both the Conte II and Draghi cabinets. A long-time figure in the Italian left, he was a founding member and national secretary of the Articolo Uno party before its reintegration into the Democratic Party. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent advocate for public health reform and social democratic policies, having also served as the PD group leader in the Chamber of Deputies earlier in his political tenure.
