Gitta Connemann

Gitta Connemann is a German lawyer and politician who has served as a member of the Bundestag since 2002, representing the Unterems constituency. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), she has held various leadership roles, including chairing the Committee on Food and Agriculture and serving as deputy chairperson of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group. Since 2021, she has served as the chairwoman of the Mittelstands- und Wirtschaftsunion (MIT), the pro-business wing of the CDU/CSU. Throughout her career, she has focused on labor law, social affairs, and rural development, while maintaining an active role in international parliamentary friendship groups.
