Grzegorz Schetyna is a Polish politician and a member of the Senate of Poland. A prominent figure in the Civic Platform party, he has held numerous high-level government positions, including Minister of Foreign Affairs (2014–2015), Marshal of the Sejm (2010–2011), and Deputy Prime Minister (2007–2009). During his tenure as Marshal of the Sejm in 2010, he briefly served as the Acting President of Poland. Throughout his career, he has been a key strategist within the liberal-democratic movement, having co-founded the Civic Platform and served as its chairman from 2016 to 2020. Before entering national politics, he was active in the anti-communist student movement and worked as a businessman in the media and sports sectors.
