A graduate of the Medical University of Gdańsk, he previously held significant administrative roles, including serving as the Voivode of Bydgoszcz from 1992 to 1993 and as Deputy Marshal of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in 2006. Throughout his career, he has balanced medical practice with public service, including a tenure as a Bydgoszcz city councilor from 2010 to 2014.
