Gyula Kovács is a Hungarian politician and physician who has served as a Member of the National Assembly since 2026. Raised in Izsák, he spent two decades working as a general practitioner and later as a gastroenterologist in his hometown. Before his election to the national parliament, he served as a local government representative between 1998 and 2002. In the 2026 parliamentary elections, he ran as a candidate for the TISZA Party in the Bács-Kiskun 4th constituency, where he secured 50.70% of the vote to defeat the incumbent Fidesz candidate, Sándor Lezsák.
