Hamzah bin Zainudin is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Larut since 2008. A former member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) and the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), he held several ministerial positions, including Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism and Minister of Home Affairs. Known in Malaysian politics as a strategic operator, he played a key role in the 2020 Sheraton Move. He served as the 17th Leader of the Opposition from 2022 until 2026 and currently sits as an independent politician.
