Muhammad Hanif Abbasi is a Pakistani politician and businessman serving as the Federal Minister for Railways and a Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan representing constituency NA-56 Rawalpindi-V. Affiliated with the Pakistan Muslim League (N), he previously served in the National Assembly during the 2002–2008 and 2008–2013 terms. Over his political career, he has been involved in several high-profile legal and political developments, including a legal case regarding ephedrine quotas from which his life sentence was suspended by the Lahore High Court.
