Hans Verheijen

Hans Verheijen is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the Mayor of Sittard-Geleen, a position he has held since March 2020. A member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), he previously served as the mayor of Mill en Sint Hubert and Wijchen. Before entering mayoral office, Verheijen worked in various administrative roles, including as a municipal secretary in Arcen en Velden and Heeze-Leende, and as a parliamentary assistant for the CDA. He holds a degree in Public Law from the University of Groningen.
