Hasan Basri Agus

Hasan Basri Agus is an Indonesian politician and bureaucrat currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, representing the Jambi electoral district. A member of the Golkar Party, he previously served as the Governor of Jambi from 2010 to 2015 and as the Regent of Sarolangun from 2006 to 2010. Throughout his career, he has focused on regional development, poverty alleviation programs such as SAMISAKE, and infrastructure improvements, including the expansion of Sultan Thaha Airport and the development of the Ujung Jabung economic zone. He is a recipient of the Bintang Mahaputra Utama, the highest civilian honor in Indonesia.
