森田初恵

Hatsue Morita is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture. Born in Kawagoe, she graduated from the Waseda University Faculty of Law and previously served as a judge in various locations including Tokyo, Osaka, and Sapporo before resigning in 2024. In January 2025, she was elected as the first female mayor in the city's history, running as an independent candidate. Her political platform focuses on providing free school lunches, enhancing demand-responsive transport systems, and promoting corporate investment in the city.
