Heiner Garg

Heiner Garg is a German politician and member of the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein, representing the Free Democratic Party (FDP). He has served as a member of the state parliament since 2000. Throughout his career, Garg has held significant executive roles, including serving as the Minister for Social Affairs, Health, Youth, Family, and Seniors of Schleswig-Holstein from 2009 to 2012 and again from 2017 to 2022. He also served as the Deputy Minister-President of the state during those periods. A trained economist with a doctorate in political science, Garg previously led the FDP in Schleswig-Holstein as state chairman from 2011 to 2022.
