Yvonne Gebauer is a German politician and member of the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia. Born in Cologne, she began her career in the private sector, working as a legal assistant and later managing a boarding house before becoming an independent entrepreneur in the real estate industry. A long-time member of the Free Democratic Party (FDP), she served on the Cologne City Council from 2004 to 2012. She was elected to the state parliament in 2012 and subsequently served as the Minister for School and Education of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2017 to 2022. During her ministerial tenure, she oversaw the transition back to the nine-year Gymnasium curriculum and emphasized the strengthening of special needs schools.
