Helder Salomão is a Brazilian politician currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies, representing the state of Espírito Santo. A member of the Workers' Party (PT) since 1982, he began his political career in grassroots Catholic base communities. He previously served as the mayor of Cariacica from 2005 to 2012 and as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Espírito Santo. Before entering politics, he worked as a teacher and holds a degree in philosophy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais.
