Helena Marttila

Helena Marttila is a Finnish politician serving as a Member of the Parliament of Finland representing the Social Democratic Party. Born in Espoo in 1984, she holds a master's degree in political science and has a professional background as a social worker. Marttila entered parliament following the 2023 elections, initially assuming her seat when Miapetra Kumpula-Natri continued her work in the European Parliament. She subsequently retained her parliamentary position following the 2024 European Parliament elections. She is the granddaughter of former MP and Minister of Agriculture Nestori Kaasalainen.
