Henryka Krzywonos is a Polish politician, social activist, and former tram driver who played a pivotal role in the 1980 August strikes that led to the formation of the Solidarity trade union. A signatory of the August Agreements, she was a prominent figure in the anti-communist opposition and later served as a foster parent for many years. Since 2015, she has served as a member of the Sejm, representing the Civic Coalition, where she focuses on social policy and the rights of families and children.
